Day 1 |
Greet & meet and arrival transfer to
Impala Hotel in Arusha for
Mt. Kilimanjaro climb briefing, dinner and overnight. |
|
Day 2 |
Check out and leave after
breakfast in a four wheel drive vehicle for
Mt. Kilimanjaro
- Londorosi gate for Mountain Climb registration and
entrance fee payments. Drive further to Lemosho
glades. Then begin trekking to Mti
Mkubwa Campsite. Lunch along the way. Reach the camp in
about 4 hours for dinner and overnight. The camp is
located at 9,200 ft above sea level. |

Day 3 |
After breakfast, leave the Mti
Mkubwa campsite for Shira plateau at 11,550 ft, trekking
through the steep ridge and on to open
Moorlands.
Lunch along the way. Reach
Shira
Camp 1 after 4 to 5 hours. Dinner and overnight at
Shira Camp 1. |

Day 4 |
After breakfast, hike across the
high desert to
Shira
Camp 2 at 12,220 ft. Lunch along the way. Dinner and
overnight at Shira Camp 2. |
|
Day 5 |
After breakfast, continue
ascending to
Baranco
Camp, located at 13,100 ft. Pass through the last water
drop at Karanga valley. Lunch on the way. Dinner and overnight Baranco
Camp. |

Day 6 |
After breakfast, leave Baranco Camp for
Barafu Camp located at 14,910 ft. Lunch on the way.
Dinner and overnight at Barafu Camp. |
|
Day 7 |
Wake up at midnight, and after
a small snack, start ascending to
Uhuru Peak through the
Stella point at 18,640 ft. Lunch on the way. After reaching the summit,
we descend to
Mweka Camp
at 10,100 ft for dinner and overnight. |

Day 8 |
After breakfast, continue your
descent to Mweka gate with lunch on the way. The car
will be waiting for you to take you to back to the
Impala Hotel in
Arusha. |

Day 9 |
Transfer to airport to catch a
homebound flight.

tents during your climb. We use the highest quality
expedition tents, made in the United States by Eureka and The North
Face. These are imported specifically for Orio Wildlife
Safaris. Tents contain mattresses. |
 | Use of radios or phones for your
safety. |
 | Group average of 4-6 climbers, maximum
of 12. |
